9 years… and we’re just getting started.
November 9, 2002… Westgate Towers Alabang… I Could Sing Of Your love Forever… The death of me… Life in Christ. Wow.
Its been 9 years of walking on water, learning, yearning, seeking, serving, growing, abiding, pruning, giving, letting go, holding on, living with eyes closed and heart wide open, beautiful things, loving, singing, running after You, gratefulness, Your faithfulness, Your goodness, Your unconditional love, Your amazing grace, Your supremacy… And I want more… More of You. Less of me. All of You. None of me.
I have no idea where I would be without God… I need Him for me to live. I need Him for me to love. I need Him for me to give. I need Him for me to win. I need Him in every inhale. I need Him in every exhale. I need Him more than ever. EVERYTHING ELSE IS SECOND. HE IS FIRST.
I will never trade this life I have with Him for ANYTHING. Lets go! Keep on!
Everything - Jesus = NOTHING… Jesus + nothing = EVERYTHING. Thank You Jesus. Wow…. THANK YOU GOD.

This year has been very very very VERY interesting for me… Started the year brushing off everything from last year (NEW THINGS!!!), made very clear plans for the year and some very realistic action plans. I was very very very VERY excited. But things aren’t going the way I thought it would go. Kinda got me frustrated… Wanted to go berserk and start blaming whoever and whatever. And even came to a point of just simply giving up. Back to the mundane, back to the good enough, Ok na to, Pwede na kind of life.

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.
Then I realized that Im too excited and too fixed on the outcome of things that I forgot the beauty of the process. Because we make timelines and demand God that we want things done our way and our time. But who are we to play God??? So things end up half baked… mediocre… Its like eating half cooked rice.. or eating Pizza with no cheese and tomatoes.. Blegh! Yak! Pangit! Hassle! Toink!
2 Corinthians 1:20
For no matter how many promises God has made, they are “Yes” in Christ. And so through him the “Amen” is spoken by us to the glory of God.
We’ll never know the timing of God.. But we can be sure that His timing is perfect! His ways are flawless! God will put the right ingredients(ALL THINGS) at the right time. He will serve it to us not just the way we like it.. He’ll even add more! Extra toppings! more servings than the usual. Thats how God is..
BUT WAIT! THERE’S MORE!
Ephesians 3:20
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us
God’s reason for making us wait is also a good thing.. Its a beautiful thing actually! The process makes us grow.. Enjoy the journey.. Learn from every moment.. Understand life better… Thats why 9months is perfect time to give birth.. not 6.. not 12.. I dont know why but Im glad Mothers wait patiently for 9 months(Thanks!). Same with God’s promises. It may take days… maybe weeks, months.. even years… But whatever timeline God puts on His promises.. I’m sure its gonna be perfect for me.
I’m learning to enjoy the wait.. I’m loving God more and more as I wait.. Understanding myself and my dreams as I wait.. Im getting myself prepared for the promise as I wait..
Romans 12:2
Do not conform any longer to the patterns of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is - His good, pleasing and perfect will.
So when God gives you a promise.. Instead of asking about the details (when, who, how, where).. Just say thank you and then wait.. Wait patiently.. Wait persistenly.. Wait expactantly.. Wait peacefully. It will come!
And be in faith that God will not shortchange you.. He will not give you something that will harm you.. He will give you your hearts desires.. And what He gives you, He gives for the sole purpose of making you fully alive and making His glory shine bright. Faith is all about trusting God’s character.

He has made everything beautiful in its time.
